ABSTRACT — During the sixties in Paris, a new generation of Jewish creators, who had been persecuted children during the war, stir up fashions and create new industrial empires. The article goes back over the careers of the most famous among these successful creators: Ted Lapidus, Rose Lapidus-Met (Torrente), Daniel Hechter and Sonia Rykiel. The first ones were known among designers, whereas Daniel Hechter and Sonia Rykiel specialized in ready-to wear clothes; but everyone was a creator, and their names belong to the history of fashions ever since. Nowadays, they speak for the French genius in France and abroad.
