In the years immediately following the war, the Alliance has to rebuild its school work while adapting to new sociopolitical conditions and redifining its conception of Jewish education. Hence, a great report about the situation between 1948 and 1950 is published in Les Cahiers de l’Alliance Israélite Universelle under the title « Educational Action » in may 1950. Its author chooses to focus on the situation in Morocco – a mission land for the Alliance, and in Israel – whose recent birth incites the head of the institution to develop the existing network. The main point then seems to be the need to train effective and devoted teachers in the Ecole Normale Israélite Orientale.
