Parizer Haynt et Naïe Presse,

les itinéraires paradoxaux de deux quotidiens parisiens en langue yiddish

Aline Benain Audrey Kichelewski
Through a thorough study of the collections of archives of these two newspapers, down to the tiniest and most concrete details, the authors reach a definition of their organization and management : the editing (sites and journalists), financial sources and edition, characteristics of their readers, according to their questions and the answers given in the various articles, their purposes and the more or less important gap between them and the results gained. To sum up, the Parizer Haynt concerned with the polish past of the immigrants and with a clearly defined Zionism, or the Naïe Presse, the mouthpiece directed toward the immigrants of the French Communist Party, these newspapers helped and sped up the assimilation of immigrants through the sole channel of a language known to all of them : the yiddish language.
