A partir de la notion de trace après automutilation, un dialogue s’instaure entre un tatoueur et un psychanalyste. Ils tentent d’abord d’évaluer les tatouages selon leur importance dans l’économie psychique de la personne tatouée, notamment à l’adolescence quant aux relations d’objet et au narcissisme. Ils forment alors l’hypothèse qu’une souffrance interne non représentable peut ainsi être amenée à l’extérieur et que, par l’excitation de la peau, la douleur et la figuration, la destructivité peut en partie se lier dans un organe : la peau. Cet organe est-il « choisi » parce qu’il est le lieu d’un manque ?Mots-clés : Tatouage, Peau, Narcissisme, Enveloppe psychique, Intrication dans l’organe. Arising from the notion of physical traces after automutilation, a dialogue takes place between a tatouer and a psychoanalyst. First of all they try to evaluate tattoos according to their importance in the tattooed person’s psychic economy, in particular during adolescence with regard to objective relationships and narcissism. They then form the hypothesis than an internal, non-formulated suffering can thus be externalised and that, by the irritation of the skin, pain and figuration, destructiveness can partly tie itself into a given organ : the skin.
