Au-delà du corps-machine : l’expérience extrême du sujet hospitalisé

A l’hôpital, la vue du corps appareillé du patient, inscrit dans les dispositifs de soins, est de nature à choquer le sujet, soignant ou simplement observateur, qui s’y trouve confronté. La relation singulière soignant-soigné peut notamment venir constituer, pour ce sujet observateur, un support de projection pour des fantasmes venant attribuer une dimension sadique à ce rapport de soin, qui vient par ailleurs pointer la difficile ambivalence du rapport au patient. Mais justement, qu’en est-il surtout du patient lui-même ? Après ces temps, surtout précoces, où le corps fut appareillé, et lorsque notamment il en garde ensuite la marque, qu’en est-il des retombées psychiques de cette expérience sur le développement du sujet ? The sight of an equipped body at the intensive care unit at the hospital could shock the subject, either caregiver or simple observer, who’s facing it. The peculiar relationship drawned between the caregiver and the patient could be seen, for this observer, as a projective support for sadistic fantasies towards those medical cares or treatments. This somehow highlight the ambiguous and tough relationship towards the patient. And so, what about the patient itself ? During this early times when the body was equipped, and most particularly when it keeps stigmatas from this experience, what the consequences onto the subject’s psychic development are ?Keywords : Set up body, Observer, Fantasy, Caregiver-patient relationship, Sadism, Stigma.
