Influence du handicap dans la relation mère – enfant déficient visuel

Cet article analyse l’incidence de la déficience visuelle sur l’interaction mère-enfant. Il tend à montrer l’incidence de la vision et, a contrario, de son absence sur la qualité de l’échange dans des situations dyadiques.
Grâce au logiciel DynamicInterCoder, spécialement conçu pour cette recherche, la dynamique des interactions et la qualité de la communication sont finement analysées. Les résultats montrent que la fréquence des interactions est statistiquement supérieure et la qualité de la communication plus riche avec la mère (comparée avec une personne extérieure à la famille), mais lorsqu’un autre déficit s’ajoute à la déficience visuelle, la qualité de la communication s’avère alors plus compromise.Mots-clés : interaction mère-enfant, déficit visuel. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of visual impairment during interactions and the dynamic of communication between mothers and severely impaired children. It shows the incidence of vision or its absence on the quality of exchanges in dyadic situations.
The dynamic of interactions and the quality of communication are analysed with DynamicInterCoder, a specific program to code the dynamic of interactions. The results show a frequency of interactions statistically higher and the quality of communication richer with the mother (in comparison with an external person). However, when another deficit is added to visual deficiency, the quality of communication proves more compromised.Keywords : mother-child interaction, visual impairment.
