L’affect d’exaltation touche le moi lui-même. Il comprend un sentiment d’élargissement du moi qui peut survenir dans différents contextes. De la joie ressentie aux conquêtes du moi à l’exaltation de l’état maniaque, toute une gamme d’états implique peu ou prou l’exaltation. Le sentiment océanique, objet d’une controverse entre Freud et Romain Rolland, s’inscrit comme l’un des aspects de l’exaltation dans le registre mystique. L’auteur considère que le sentiment océanique est lié à un fantasme incestueux de retour au sein maternel alors que le moi qui s’agrandit progressivement évolue sous le signe de l’Œdipe.Mots-clés : Affect, Complexe d’Œdipe, Emprise, Exaltation, Excitation, Moi, Satisfaction, Sentiment océanique, Libido. Summary — The affect of exaltation touches the ego itself. It comprises a feeling of expansion of the ego that can arise in different contexts. From the joy experienced at the ego’s conquests to the exaltation that characterises the manic state, a whole range of states imply exaltation to a lesser or greater extent. The oceanic feeling, which was an object of a controversy between Freud and Romain Rolland, expresses one of the aspects of exaltation in the mystic register. Der Affekt der Exaltiertheit berührt des Ich selbst. Es enthält ein Gefühl von Erweiterung des Ich, das in verschiedenen Umständen auflauchen kann. Von der Freude über die Eroberungen des Ich zur Exaltiertheit des manischen Zustandes, enthalten viele Zustände die Exaltiertheit. Das ozeanische Gefühl, Objekt einer Kontroverse zwischen Freud und Romain Rolland, wird zu einem Aspekt der Exaltiertheit, im mystischen Register.
