La psychologie étudie l’individu et exclut le social. Même ceux qui le réintroduisent le font du point de vue individualiste. Le social est tenu hors champ par deux défenses : le déni de la différence d’échelle et le mépris de l’agir. Les psychothérapeutes s’occupent de l’être individuel et n’ont pas besoin de prétendre avoir un effet sur la société. Avec sa sociopsychanalyse, Gérard Mendel invente « un équivalent du divan » pour le social. Ce dispositif est présenté avec diverses réalisations. La SP peut aider formateurs et psychothérapeutes à distinguer personnalité psychofamiliale (dont ils s’occupent) et personnalité psychosociale. Si les Gestalt-thérapeutes ont une position particulière à ce sujet, elle reste à élaborer. Psychology studies the individual and excludes the social. Even those who reintroduce this element do so from an individualistic viewpoint. The social is held out of bounds by two defences: the denial of the difference in scale and the contempt for action. Psychotherapists are concerned with the individual being and need not claim to have an effect on society. With his sociopsychoanalysis Gérard Mendel invents a social equivalent to the couch. This device is presented with various applications. Sociopsychoanalysis may assist teachers and psychotherapists in making the distinction between the psychofamily personality (with which they are concerned) and the psychosocial personality. If Gestalt therapists have a specific position in this respect it remains to be developed.
