Ordre international, ordre mondial, ordre global

Les expressions « ordre international » et « ordre mondial » ( “ world/global order ” ) sont souvent utilisées indifféremment sans que les auteurs éprouvent le besoin de justifier le choix de l’adjectif. Pour certains d’entre eux, leur perception « réaliste » ou au contraire « mondialiste » est tellement évidente que l’explication est implicite. Le choix, en anglais, entre “ world ” et « global ” pose bien entendu un problème supplémentaire ou, tout au moins, tire le débat vers celui de la mondialisation/globalisation, de l’ampleur du phénomène et surtout de sa régulation. Dans quelle mesure, en effet, la fin de la bipolarité, du face-à-face Est/Ouest, et la mondialisation/globalisation affectent-elles l’ordre international westphalien ?

The expressions « world order » and « global order » are often mentioned indistinguishably by authors who do not justify the choice of the qualifier. For some of them, their « realist » or, at the contrary, « world-wide » perception is so obvious that the explanation is implicit. In English, the choice between « world » and « global » raises an additional problem or, at least, brings about another debate, i.e. the distinction, in French, between « mondialisation ” and « globalisation ”, regarding the scope of the phenomenon and particularly its regulation. Indeed, to what extent do the end of bipolarity and the rise of globalization ( « mondialisation » or « globalisation » ) affect the Westphalian international order ?
