L’idée qu’une pensée collective latente reste le moteur de toutes les productions humaines qui ne sont pas justifiées par la rationalité est au cœur de ces méditations autour de la dette. L’hypothèse d’une pensée magique latente, examinée ici, ouvre ainsi à une mise en perspective des champs d’observations que la notion de dette permet d’explorer. En toile de fond de ce travail, l’approche anthropo-ethnologique permettra d’en examiner les implications dans une perspective psychanalytique. Tandis que la notion d’un investissement narcissique de l’ombre sera proposée comme lieu de franchissement de cette double ouverture, faisant jouer la notion de libido narcissique mais aussi celle d’un investissement narcissique des représentations culturelles. Et c’est bien alors la dynamique du narcissisme de la pensée qui sera introduite avec l’idée qu’une pensée magique latente est au fondement des liens et des formes d’échanges qui s’établissent entre les hommes.Mots-clés : esprit des choses, potentialité magique, pensée magique latente, cycle de réciprocité, fait social total, transmission. The idea of latent collective thought as the driving force of all human production that is not justified by rationality, is at the heart here of the author’s musings on the notion of debt. The hypothesis concerning the presence of latent magic thought, as examined here, opens up new perspectives in the fields of observation that the notion of debt allows us to explore. As a backdrop to these concerns, the anthropologicalcumethnological approach allows us to examine the implications of this from the psychoanalytical point of view. While the notion of veiled narcissistic investment is offered as the threshold of this double opening, bringing into play the notion of the narcissistic libido but also that of the narcissistic investment of cultural representations, it is then the dynamics of the narcissism of thought that can be introduced along with the idea that latent magic thought is at the basis of the bonds and exchange patterns that grow up between members of mankind.Keywords : The spirit of things, Magic potentiality, Latent magic thought, Reciprocal cycle, Total social fact, Transmission.
