Trop souvent réduit à l’état de fétiche, le projet, faire un projet, se donner un projet est aujourd’hui une injonction de la part des parents tout autant que de la société. Face à ce rapport au temps et à cette urgence née avec la modernité, notre propos, dans cet article, est de contextualiser la notion de projet et de la réinscrire dans sa temporalité : celle d’une modernité qui a fait de l’anticipation de l’avenir et du projet son objet, celle d’une histoire individuelle ensuite pour laquelle ce qui est qualifié communément d’absence de projet peut être entendu comme désir d’un retour ou d’un maintien dans la position d’un toujours-déjà-là propre au narcissisme primaire. Une position que ne saurait débusquer que l’advenue de la castration et le renoncement à une certaine forme de jouissance et de négation des différentes dimensions du temps qui semble contaminer aujourd’hui l’ensemble de notre société.Mots-clés : Projet, Fétichisation, Modernité, Régression, Demande identificatoire, Identification au projet. Often relegated to a position of mere fetish, a project, having a project and getting involved in it is today what parents want their children to do and what society wants from us. Faced with this relationship with time and the sense of emergency born of the modern era, this article aims at setting the notion of the project in its new context and re-establishing it in its own temporal dimension – that of the modern age which anticipates the future moment and makes the project its object, that of an individual story for which what is commonly termed as a “lack of a project” can be understood as the desire of the return or the maintaining of an “always already there” type of situation that is typical of primary narcissism. This situation can only bring with it castration and the renunciation of enjoyment, the negation of the different dimensions of time that seem to contaminate the whole of our society today.Keywords : Project, Fetishisation, Modernity, Regression, Identification demand, Identification of the project.
