La théorie psychanalytique ne peut reprendre à son compte le « Mal », construction théologique et philosophique d’un concept transcendant ou a priori, mais s’attelle aux maux qui affligent les hommes tentant d’en comprendre et traiter les sources, les mécanismes, les fonctions. A la relecture de textes de Kant, de Hannah Arendt et d’apports de la biologie contemporaine de la conscience ainsi que de la considération de vignettes cliniques, l’auteur reconsidère diverses formes d’expression du mal et insiste sur les aspects positifs du Surmoi support d’identifications et de l’incorporation d’Autrui, garde-fou contre les extrêmes du mal. Elle s’interroge sur diverses limites, voire dérives, de la cure et théorie analytiques suspendant le jugement et laissant de côté les notions de liberté et d’imputabilité. Elle suggère de nouvelles explorations psychanalytiques des fonctions supérieures les plus complexes de l’esprit, qui échappent au déterminisme, tels que le jugement, le librearbitre, la responsabilité.Mots-clés : Psychanalyse et morale - Surmoi, Mal, Maux, Veuve noire, Autrui, Liberté, Imputabilité. Psychoanalytical theory cannot appropriate the notion of ‘Evil’ which is a theological and philosophical construction of a transcendent notion or notion established a priori, but it can look at the evils that men inflict on each other and try to understand the sources, mechanisms and functions of such behaviour. The author takes a close look at texts by Kant, Hannah Arendt along with elements taken from contemporary biological studies of consciousness and fragments from clinical cases to reconsider the diverse forms of the expression of evil. She insists on the positive aspects of the Superego in the support it gives to identifications and the incorporation of Others, functioning as a protective barrier against the extremes of Evil and examines the diverse limits, the tangents even, of the psychoanalytical cure or analytical theories in suspending notions of judgment, freedom or imputability. She then goes on to offer new means of exploring the superior functions of the psyche in psychoanalysis which escape deterministic factors such as judgement, free choice and responsibility.
