Ce texte est une reprise remaniée d’un précédent texte sur l’analyse quatrième tenant compte du dialogue entre analystes qu’il a suscité Il s’ouvre par un rappel des notions définissant ce processus de travail analytique qui s’instaure quand un analyste parle de sa pratique de la psychanalyse avec un autre analyste. La réflexion sur l’analyse quatrième conduit à ré interroger les effets de pacte dénégatif voire de déni qui peuvent infiltrer la relation analytique. Les différentes modalités identificatoires qui se déploient dans le dispositif sont alors repérées et leur dénouement relève de la pratique de la pluriréférence. Elle conduit aussi à reposer la problématique de l’interprétation. L’analyse quatrième se situe à la fois dans la continuité avec l’analyse personnelle mais aussi en discontinuité dans la mesure où elle ouvre à un dialogue entre analystes marqué par une mutualité qui se dégage de l’asymétrie caractéristique de la relation transférentielle propre à toute analyse.Mots-clés : Analyse quatrième, Supervision, Contrôle, Identification, Interprétation, Relation d’asymétrie, Temporalité. This text is a reworking of an earlier article on Fourth Analysis but which now takes into account the discussions among analysts that the article gave rise to in its original form. It begins with a reminder of the notions which underlie the processes at work in analysis when an analyst speaks of his practice with a second analyst. In this light, we shall see how this examination of Fourth Analysis leads one to question the denegative pact, or even denial, which may sometimes infiltrate the analytical relation. The different modes of identification at work in supervision may then be clearly identified but resolving them involves recourse to the technique of pluriference. This will also lead us to a reconsideration of the question of interpretation. Fourth Analysis is a continuation of one’s own personal analytical cure but is also a discontinuation of it, in that it makes room for discussion between analysts, and this is characterised by the mutual benefit born from the asymmetry true to the transferential relationship of all forms of analysis.
