Dans le cours des réflexions et des recherches menées ces dernières années, l’auteur a constaté comment, dans l’impact avec l’œuvre d’art, interviennent d’une part l’inquiétant freudien – en tant que retour du refoulé– d’autre part, l’inquiétant psychotique, considéré comme le retour d’expériences émotives très lointaines, expériences qui jusqu’alors n’étaient pas traduites en symboles. L’apparition de l’inquiétant – freudien et psychotique– chez celui qui jouit de l’œuvre d’art est étroitement liée au surgissement d’un fait choisi ou fait sélectionné. L’inquiétant et le fait choisi sont intégrés dans un modèle de la fonction mentale relative à la jouissance artistique, un modèle qui intègre aussi une constante F qui se réfère à la forme, aux contenus de l’œuvre d’art. Le David de Michel-Ange a semblé prendre la valeur d’un paradigme concernant les interconnexions entre le facteur F lié à l’œuvre d’art et les éléments liés à l’observateur.Mots-clés : David de Michel-Ange, Jouissance artistique, Inquiétant psychotique, Inconscient présymbolique, Fait choisi. In the course of thought and research over the past years, the author has come to notice how, in their encounter with the work of art, elements which Freud defines as ‘disquieting’– in that they signify the return of what has been repressed - and of psychotic disquieting - considered to signify the return of very early emotional experiences which have not yet been translated into symbols – both come into play. The emergence of this sense of disquieting – both Freudian and psychotic – in anyone enjoying a work of art is closely linked to the sudden emergence of a chosen or deliberately selected fact. The sense of disquieting and the chosen fact are then integrated into a model for psychic functioning which is related to artistic jouissance, a model which also comprises a constant F, designating form and the contents of the work of art. Michelangelo’s David has become a paradigm of the inter-connections between the F factor pertaining to the work of art and the elements pertaining to its observer.
